Open this Malbec when you’re thirsting for a quality, affordable bottle even if you don’t have an occasion to celebrate. I tried this soothing, enjoyable wine as a wind down after a long day. It’s rich, dark purplish color and aromas of focused fruit enticed my senses with each swirl. Tastes of dark blackberries, red fruits, and white chocolate unfolded while I relaxed. Although the wine played a solo part in that particular evening, I imaged having it with a simple Italian style pizza topped with pancetta and mushrooms on the next occasion. The wine’s medium acidity and medium-high tannins make for good food pairing.
