Virginia wine was one of Thomas Jefferson’s dreams for America, but in his time it was never realized. Now it is here for your judging. This Cabernet Franc is a beautiful garnet color with developing aromas of red cherry, strawberry, cranberry, rose, cedar, sweet tobacco, and a touch of nutmeg. The medium body, medium acid and medium tannin give the wine good mouth feel. This is a charming red from one of the largest wine growers in Virginia. Don’t hesitate to open this vintage, and don’t pass-up visiting the Virginia Wine Trails.
